Overview: CreeseWorks contributed photography to Bloomberg's coverage of Tulsa's historic Greenwood district — known as Black Wall Street — timed around President Trump's controversial 2020 Tulsa rally. The piece explored the intersection of historic racial trauma and contemporary political tension in a neighborhood still bearing the wounds of the 1921 massacre.
The Work: Christopher Creese documented the landscape, community, and atmosphere of Greenwood as national attention converged on Tulsa. The assignment placed CreeseWorks at the intersection of documentary photojournalism and one of the defining political and racial justice stories of 2020.
