Overview

In 2023, CreeseWorks was credentialed to photograph at The White House during the Juneteenth celebration. The assignment combined formal portraiture with documentary event coverage inside one of the most access-restricted, security-intensive venues in the world.

The Assignment

4 hours of coverage across exterior White House locations. The brief required both planned portrait setups and spontaneous event documentation, formal enough for institutional use, candid enough to capture the genuine energy of the occasion.

Subjects included President Biden, senior officials, and event guests including Jennifer Hudson. 50 final edited images were delivered, formatted for both press distribution and archival use.

Technical Context

• Shot with full-frame and APS-C bodies; lenses ranging from 23mm to 200–600mm

• Security protocols required all gear pre-approved; zero setup time on location
